Asbestos Testing
Environmental Analytical Services’ asbestos laboratory prides itself on analytical accuracy, efficiency and superior customer service. Our asbestos laboratory is accredited (Lab Code: 200784-0) and licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services as an Asbestos Laboratory. We are also accredited by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality’s LELAP program for asbestos bulk sample analysis. EAS Labs offers a variety of turn-around-times and analytical options for our clients; including emergency, same day, after-hours and weekend analysis.

Asbestos can be found naturally in the air outdoors and in some drinkable water, including water from natural sources.  Studies have shown that members of the general (non-occupationally exposed) population have tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of asbestos fibers in each gram of dry lung tissue, which translates into millions of fibers and tens of thousands of asbestos bodies in every person’s lungs.
